Terms of Use
Last updated: 5 November 2026
These terms apply when you download or use an app or game published by CREATIVE PARTNERSHIP LIMITED on Google Play, and when you use this website. They currently cover:
- Gavel Drop: Courtroom Puzzles, Android package
online.creativepartnershiplimited.gaveldrop; - the website creativepartnershiplimited.online.
How we handle personal data is explained separately in our Privacy Policy.
1. Who we are
We are CREATIVE PARTNERSHIP LIMITED, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 13546652), registered office: Unit 1H Mereworth Business Centre, Danns Lane, Wateringbury, Maidstone, Kent, England, ME18 5LW, United Kingdom (“we”, “us”).
You can contact us at support@
2. Your agreement with us
By installing or using one of our apps you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the app; you can uninstall it at any time.
You get our apps through Google Play. Your use of Google Play, including payments and refunds handled by Google, is governed by Google’s own terms. Google is not a party to these terms.
Our apps are made for personal, non-commercial use. Gavel Drop is intended for players aged 13 and over.
3. Your licence to use our apps
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use our apps on Android devices you own or control, for your own entertainment and private use, in line with these terms and the Google Play terms. The apps are licensed to you, not sold. We or our licensors keep all other rights in them.
4. Price and payment
Gavel Drop is free to download and play and has no in-app purchases. It is supported by advertising (see section 5).
If one of our apps offers paid content in future, the price will be shown in Google Play before you buy and Google will process the payment. Digital content is supplied straight away once you buy it. When you agree to that, you lose the 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 (or the equivalent rule in your country), but you keep all your other legal rights, including the right to content that works as described.
5. Ads and in-app rewards
From version 1.1, Gavel Drop shows ads delivered by Unity. A short ad may appear between cases. Some ads are optional: you can choose to watch a video to receive an in-game reward, such as an extra hint or cosmetic tokens.
- Rewards are given only after the video has been watched to the end. If you close it early, or it does not play, no reward is given.
- An ad is not always available, for example when you are offline or no ad is ready. We cannot promise that a rewarded video will be offered at any given moment.
- Hints, tokens and cosmetic items are part of the game. They have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for money or anything outside the game, and cannot be sold or transferred.
- If you watched a video to the end and did not receive the reward, write to us and we will look into it.
We do not control the content of individual ads; they are supplied by our ad partner. If you see an ad that seems inappropriate, please tell us which app it appeared in and roughly when, and we will report it. Your choices about personalised ads are explained in the Privacy Policy and can be changed in the app under Settings → Privacy.
6. Your progress
Gavel Drop has no account and no cloud save. Your progress, rewards and settings are stored only on your device. They do not move to a new device, and uninstalling the app or clearing its storage deletes them permanently. We cannot restore lost progress because we never receive it.
7. Fair use
When you use our apps, please do not:
- copy, modify, decompile or reverse engineer them, except where the law allows this and it cannot be excluded by contract;
- remove or change copyright, trademark or other notices;
- use bots, scripts, emulated taps or any other method to generate ad views or ad clicks, or otherwise interfere with how ads are shown or rewarded;
- distribute, rent or sell copies of the apps or any part of them;
- use the apps in a way that breaks the law or harms other people.
8. Our content
The apps, their text, cases, characters, artwork, sounds and code, and the content of this website, belong to us or to our licensors and are protected by intellectual property law. You may share screenshots of your own play for non-commercial purposes.
All cases, characters, companies and records in Gavel Drop are fictional, and any resemblance to real people or events is coincidental. The courtroom procedure is invented for the puzzle. Gavel Drop is a game and is not legal advice.
9. Updates and availability
We update our apps from time to time to fix problems, keep them working on current versions of Android, meet legal and Google Play requirements, or improve them. Some updates may be needed to keep using an app. Updates will not take away the main features described in the app’s Google Play listing at the time you installed it, unless the change is required by law or by Google Play, or is needed for security reasons.
An app needs a compatible Android device. Ads and rewarded videos need an internet connection.
We may stop offering an app in future. If we do, we will say so on this website. You can keep using a copy already installed on your device for as long as it works, but we may no longer update or support it.
10. Our responsibility to you
We provide our apps with reasonable care and skill. If we fail to comply with these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. Loss or damage is foreseeable if it was obvious that it would happen, or if both of us knew it might happen when you started using the app.
If defective digital content that we supplied damages a device or other digital content belonging to you, and this is caused by our failure to use reasonable care and skill, we will either repair the damage or pay you compensation.
We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and for breach of your legal rights as a consumer.
Our apps are for domestic and private use. We are not responsible to you for loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity.
Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer. For information about your rights in the UK, contact Citizens Advice.
11. Ending these terms
You can stop using an app at any time by uninstalling it. These terms then end for that app.
If you seriously or repeatedly break section 7, for example by generating fraudulent ad activity, our ad partner may stop showing ads, including rewarded videos, on that device. Sections 8, 10 and 13 continue to apply after these terms end.
12. Questions and complaints
If you have a question or a problem with one of our apps, write to support@
Refunds for anything bought through Google Play are handled under Google Play’s refund policy, without affecting your legal rights.
13. Which law applies
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in the courts of the country where you live.
If you live in the European Union or another country outside the UK, you also keep the protection of any mandatory consumer law of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of that country.
If a court decides that part of these terms is invalid, the rest stays in force.
14. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms when we release a new app, change how an app works, or when the law or Google Play requirements change. We will publish the new version on this page and update the date at the top. If a change significantly affects you, we will also tell you in the app or in its Google Play release notes before it takes effect. If you do not agree with the change, you can stop using the app.
